Personality


I am a sweet, curious, playful and attentive puppy. At home, I have a bounce in my step with everything I do. Going down the steps, I usually skip a step or two to get to the bottom quickly. I like to explore everything around my home, but I am not destructive. I can also be quiet and I enjoy being pet and brushed.


Socialization


Does the dog like other pets?
I currently live with one other dog and I enjoy playing with her. We take turns chasing each other around the house and outside. I am not afraid to initiate play and I take correction from the other dog when it's time to stop. I don't know about cats but I would imagine that I would like to play with them too.

Does the dog like children?
I have only met one child in my foster home, and I did let the child pick me up and carry me around.

General social placement notes:
In the house, I am secure, fun loving and a delight to watch. I still need experience in the outside world, which I find scary. I am gradually getting over my fears and I am learning to explore the world as I go on walks and meet people and objects. I love to get treats and I am learning to take them from everyone I meet.


Favorite Toys


I like to play with anything. I do like to chew on hard toys and to shred empty toilet paper rolls. It's easy to get me to play!


Forever Home


I need a home with patient people to help me overcome my fears of the outside world. I would do well in a home with another dog or just with people that will take the time to play with me. I am very smart and in one week I learned the cues of quick, leave it and sit. On my own, I learned how to ring the bell tied to the door to go out (or to just get attention). With my bounce I would do well in agility or my sweet personality could lead me to become a Therapy Dog or I could just be a great friend and companion. I am crate trained. At night I readily go into my crate to sleep but I'd probably really like to sleep on the bed.
