My holiday wish is to find an active family to take me for runs and give me lots of toys to chew!

Personality

Always smiling and wagging my tail, I am a fun-loving girl that would make a great running partner, cuddle partner, or agility partner. I love to run and play, but am also very happy to cuddle up afterwards. I am a great size, short and stocky. They say I am a sensitive girl that needs a gentle, stable home.

What are the dog's favorite toys or things to do?
My favorite thing to do is de-stuff toys! I also like to run and to learn new things. I am very well-behaved in the ABRT classrooms! My foster mom says she likes to take me to class more than her own furry kids. Mostly, I just love to have my people around. I have lots of energy but am happy to also relax with a treat while my foster parents go about their business in the house.

My forever home:
I am looking for a fairly active home, someone to walk or hike with, learn agility or just continue "working" and learning in other advanced classes. I have had a rough start, so a gentle, loving home is a must. I hit the floor when you raise your voice, but respond very well to positive reinforcement. I need a home that is low stress, but can help keep me active and exercised. I am very smart and love to show you what I know!

Socialization

Does the dog like cats? Live with cats?
I do not live with cats and would do better in a home with no cats.

Does the dog like other dogs?
I have had a rough start and can get stressed out with too much other activity going on, so a home with no other dogs would be best for me. I do not care about other neighborhood dogs on the other side of the fence. My foster parents really appreciate this!

Does the dog like kids?
I have been around kids ages 4, 7 and 8 and done pretty well. I can just be a little over zealous and might knock them over. I’m little but mighty! Due to the high activity level, I shouldn't live with kids, but can have visitors or greet them when out and about.

Should the dog be placed with other pets and/or kids?
I need to be placed as an only child, no other dogs, cats or younger children. I just can't handle all that activity and stress!

Training and Behavior

Housebroken?
I have done great in my foster home, but there maybe an adjustment period when I move into my forever home.

Crate trained?
Yes, I am wonderful about going in the crate.

Has the dog had any training?
I am a working girl! I have been through a Foundation course, Canine Connection, Practical Perfection and have earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. I have completed Outdoor Adventure, traveling to places around town and practicing what I know.

Does the dog escape the yard? Dig? Bark excessively? Anything else?
I am well mannered in the yard, only an occasional bark, especially if I am left out of the action.

Does the dog ride well in the car?
I am good riding in the car.

Is the dog food aggressive?
I am not food aggressive.

Fearful of anything?
I can be fearful of raised voices and loud noises.

Health

I am a healthy girl.
