How To Support ABRT
All Breed Rescue & Training is primarily a volunteer-run organization. We have several areas that we can use help with,
and can utilize any talent you might have. Our positions range from a small-time commitments to larger responsibilities,
and everything in between. If you are looking to volunteer with ABRT, please contact us!
All Breed Rescue &Training currently has six major committees: Marketing, Fundraising, Technology, Finance, Foster,
and Adoption. We are always looking for new faces in all of these committees and in the smaller planning committees
for each of our events. If you have particular talents that you think we could benefit from, please feel free to contact us
about joining any of these committees. In addition, any meeting listed on the ABRT calendar is
open to the public. Unless an exception is listed, the meetings will be held at our facility.

Support Dogs In Need
FOSTER COMMITTEE:
- Foster Director - Oversee the Foster Committee, voice to the board and public, work with Adoptions Director
to make final decisions on adoptions, screen adopters, ideally aid in dog/cat intros, make decisions on which dogs
get pulled from shelter, various other duties.
- Foster Dogs - Work with Director and Trainers to decide on special contracts for new fosters, perform temperment tests,
recommend training/socialization options for foster parents and their dogs, create website decriptions along with foster parent,
decide which dogs can handle events and meet n greets, oversee care of foster dogs at facility, including creating foster dog schedule,
problem solve, help deal with returns, help screen adopters, track progress of foster dog's through the system, various other duties.
- Foster Parents - Host foster parent training, communicate with foster parent on status of dog, problem solve, be a resource
for foster parents, help match foster dogs with foster parents, be sure new foster parents get screened, homecheck, and training,
help screen adopters, maintain database of foster parents and resourcvarious other duties.
- Foster Dog Records - Maintain records (medical, interest forms, adoption contracts), be sure all fosters are current on shots
and microchipped, maintain spreadsheet for dogs (where they come from, foster home info, dog info, health info, etc), help screen adopters,
various other duties.

VARIOUS OTHER POSITIONS:
- Become a Foster Parent (see the Fostering page)
- Helping with special Events (see the Events page)
- Office help with mailings, contacting supporters and clients, etc.
