Available Dogs

Thank you for your interest in our available dogs. We like to get to know the dogs in our care prior to posting them for adoption so if you do not see the dog you are looking for, feel free to put an interest form in telling us what you are looking for in a forever friend. We love to "match-make" and we may have a dog that is not yet posted that is perfect for you. Once we have an interest form from you, one of our staff will contact you (in 7 - 10 days) to discuss your needs in detail as well as the dog(s) you are interested in.

I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but I will warm up quickly. Once I warm up, I love to snuggle, get scratches and sleep with my human. I'm a 9 lb. bundle of energy and I love to run. I am very food motivated and I love to learn. One of my favorite things to do is soak up the sunshine. I'd do best in a home without cats and a home with children 8 years old and up.

General Socialization Notes:

I am shy, at first, when meeting new people, but I will warm up. I am mostly potty trained, but I am still working on it a bit. I'm also working on crate training. I protest a bit when I'm crated. I'm very food motivated, so learning is fun for me. I live with small dogs in my foster home and do well with all of them.

Does Tequila like other pets?

I love playing with other dogs. I've been fostered with dogs under 30 lbs. I do like to chase cats, so a home without cats would be best.

Does Tequila like children?

A home with children 8 years old and up would be best.

Favorite Toys:

I love toys! I also like Kongs and chews like Bully Sticks and Cow Hooves.

Ideal Forever Home:

I'd love a family who understands that I will need time to warm up to new people. I want my family to love to spend time with me because I do love to spend time with my humans once I warm up. I'd be okay in an apartment, as long as I get enough exercise. I'd do best in a home with children 8 years old and up and no cats, please.
