Surrender and Rehome
We understand that sometimes life circumstances change. If you are considering rehoming your dog, we want to help you explore your options responsibly and thoughtfully.
Our Intake Focus:
All Breed Rescue & Training primarily partners with municipal shelters to assist dogs who require additional behavioral support or specialized placement.
Because of this focused mission, we are generally unable to accept owner surrenders directly into our rescue program.
However, we may still be able to help.

Option 3: Other Rescue Resources
Option 1:
Training & Behavior Support
Unwanted behaviors are the root cause of nearly 67% percent all of decisions to rehome or relinquish. Our team has the experience to help you work through these issues. Our goal is to give your family renewed hope, and help you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
If your dog’s behavior is contributing to your decision, we offer:
- Obedience classes at multiple levels
- Behavior modification programs
- Private consultations
In many cases, structured training and support can significantly improve a dog’s quality of life and help them remain successfully in their home.

Option 2:
Self-Foster Program
If you are able to continue caring for your dog while seeking placement, our Self-Foster Program may be an option.
Through Our Self Foster Program:
Your dog remains in your home and you continue providing daily care (food, housing, veterinary needs, and management).
ABRT assists with:
- Professional behavior evaluation
- Adoption marketing
- Screening potential adopters
- Coordinating placement
Important Information:
- There is no guaranteed or set timeframe for adoption.
- A Behavior Evaluation with one of our behavior counselors is required prior to enrollment.
Cost: $300
- Participation is determined after review of submitted information.
- To be considered for the Self-Foster Program, please complete the inquiry form below.
Option 3:
